Over the past decades, my creative energies have been transformed by encounters with cultural traditions in Southeast Asia. My art is inspired by the experience, the feeling of the intangible, the unseen and unspoken. In a world in which the diversity of languages and cultures is under extraordinary pressure, my art is conceived to lend sustenance to traditional values, customs and artistic practices.

This work has become part of the palimpsest of Southeast Asian traditions – layers of art upon art in a beautiful cycle of giving and receiving. The many images and stories here are glimpses into the vitality of the rituals and traditional performing art to which I have been witness.

This website is my offering, made in gratitude, to the many people who have enriched my life. In these images and stories, our lives are eternally intertwined.
